When we returned to check out, the staff was beyond amazing at the continental breakfast. Friendly and helpful to one-time guests as well as regulars. It is because of her that I would still recommend this place. Maybe just clarify the smoking situation or a great stay for smokers ;)
I reserved a non smoking room for 2 adults and 2 children. When we opened the door to the room the smell of smoke was so bad I was coughing. We stayed for 4 hours and left!
This place was just an OK for a night. It was nice to park right outside your door, the style is like old fashioned motels where there is an outside door to each room. The bed was decent & there was a choice of firm or soft pillows. There was an outdoor pool - we didn't use it.
Request room in the basement just in case tornado hits the area. I did (not really) . Slept good. Nice beer section. Breakfast good . Had a little hangover so I only drunk orange juice and took two aspirin. Overall no complaints , picky people pickles. Good night.
A decent place for the price. The hotel is a bit dated with no indoor corridors. The breakfast bar is a bit cramped. The wireless was really struggling when we were there. But the staff was friendly and helpful, and they kept the place up the best they could. The pool was refreshing on a hot day. Location is good with access to the Badlands and walking distance to Wall Drug and the National Grasslands Visitor Center.
The air conditioner was very loud & annoying, but it was too hot to turn it off. There was only one washcloth (for 2 people) & unfortunately I didn't notice this until morning. A few of the towels were pretty yellow looking, I avoided using them.
Nice and clean, hot breakfast, and budget price. Close to the national park and other tourist attractions. Good place to stop on a road trip.
